da apostebet: With two games of the new Premier League season already gone, it looks like both Manchester clubs are going to be fighting it out tooth and nail this season.
da apostaganha: Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have been in impressive goalscoring form, though they have looked shaky at the back on occasion.
Manchester United, meanwhile, have looked every inch the pragmatic, all-conquering Jose Mourinho side we thought they might be. A 3-1 victory over Bournemouth was followed by a 2-0 victory over Southampton in world record signing Paul Pogba’s debut for the club. Both were functional wins in a very Mourinho style – that is to say, they never looked in doubt.
And although Pogba is the star signing of the summer, the man who has scored three goals in two games for United so far, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, looks to be already one of the signings of the window.
On a free transfer, Ibrahimovic is a steal, whatever kind of astronomical wages he’s on. He knows where the goal is, and more importantly, he knows exactly how to find the weaknesses in the defences he’s playing against.
In Sir Alex Ferguson’s final season, he wrestled the title away from Manchester City’s grasp and one of the major factors in that title win was the purchase of Robin van Persie from Arsenal. He was a proven Premier League goalscorer, and his goals helped bring the title back to Old Trafford – including the title-sealing volley against Aston Villa.
Ibrahimovic is a player in a similar vein. With United struggling over the past few seasons, a proven legend of the game has arrived at United and so far he looks like he’ll have a similar impact.
With 50.5 FanDuel points in game week two, Ibrahimovic was the third highest scorer in the game, just behind Christian Stuani and Sergio Aguero.
Shots on target and goals are – quite naturally – his bread and butter, winning 40 of his 50 points from shots on target and goals, whilst he also earned three points creating chances for his team.
The downside to having Ibrahimovic in your side is, of course, his price tag and wages. But if, like Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012/13, you think those all-important points are worth splashing out your hard-earned cash, then Ibrahimovic is probably your man!
