When asked if he would play in the club's pre-season tour in America, he replied: "We'll see with the coach and the club. If the club says yes, I'll go. I'm at the club's disposal. I hope I'll play the Super Cup match, it's up to the coach to decide. I'm going to get to work to play the first match."
On his nose injury, the forward added: "I am in contact with the medical staff, I am listening to what is recommended to me and I will resume playing when possible. I want to be able to contribute as much as possible to the team as soon as possible."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
The eyes of the watching world will be eagerly awaiting the first time Mbappe plays for Madrid following his high-profile move from PSG. The Super Cup match, a contest between the respective Champions League and Europa League winners, could be the ideal place for that, but the main thing is for the 2018 World Cup winner to be fit and ready for the new season.
