Someone of his mould could easily help win round the Old Trafford faithful in what has so far proven a partially frustrating campaign at Manchester United to say the very least.
When it comes to taking on fine efforts from just outside the box, displaying a range of impressive finishing skills that would bolster any Premier League side operating in the English game – and simply giving his respective fan-base due cause to sit up and take note whenever the ball finds itself at the 22-year-old’s feet – Felipe Anderson seemingly bares all the necessary hallmarks to make it right at the very top.
However, much of the recent sensation surrounding the current Serie A star is nonetheless built upon pure hope for the future more than anything else. Although Anderson enjoyed a great run of form for Lazio during the tail-end of the previous campaign, the highly coveted South American has struggled to maintain a great deal of consistency in the Italian capital over his entire spell at the club.
Question marks have arisen over his general fitness throughout his time at the Stadio Olimpico – and although most 22-year-old’s invariably fail to portray the out-in-out finished article with all things fairly considered – it remains doubtful as to whether or not Felipe Anderson truly represents the real deal in the modern era.
Manchester United’s reported willingness to match Lazio’s £36.7 million price-tag for the Brazilian therefore seems ridiculous. If the Old Trafford hierarchy eventually go through with such an extortionate deal by the end of the January transfer window, then it really would seem as if the Red Devils bosses just haven’t learnt their lesson from their previously costly forays into the transfer market in seasons past.

The once dominant English club simply need guaranteed goals this winter, and perhaps a little Premier League experience to match. So then, although Felipe Anderson could very well represent a decent acquisition for any high ranking English team one day, he is arguably not the man to save Louis van Gaal’s increasingly disappointing outfit from their current issues in 2015/16.
