After impressing as interim manager for two months, Peter Luccin is well positioned to retain the Dallas job on a full-time basis, according to 's Tom Bogert. The Frenchman, who has served as an assistant manager at the Texas club since 2019, is a the front-runner to be named full time head coach – although nothing has been agreed between the two parties.

Luccin has turned Dallas' fortunes around after a forgettable start to the season. Estevez, who had been in charge since 2022, led Dallas to a 3-8-5 opening to the campaign and was relieved of his duties before Copa America on June 9. Luccin has dragged Dallas back into the playoff picture, and have the western conference side within striking distance of a playoff spot as the season enters its final month.
