A huge majority of West Brom fans that voted in our poll wanted Darren Moore to drop veteran midfielder Chris Brunt in favour of 20-year-old Sam Field ahead of the derby with Birmingham on Friday evening.
Brunt is now 33-years-old and has looked too slow to be able to get around the pitch in a midfield two alongside Jake Livermore, as was highlighted by the lazy penalty he conceded in the 4-3 win over Norwich.
Baggies boss Moore made eight signings this summer, but failed to make any additions in central midfield and neither 37-year-old Gareth Barry nor 32-year-old James Morrison would solve the current problem.
West Brom fans were clear when answering our survey though that they regard the 5ft 10in tall Field as the answer. The classy young midfielder signed a new four-year contract at the Hawthorns this summer and made his debut for the club back in the 2015/16 season.
